Structure and use

Structure: 90 degree flange elbow is composed of two parts: elbow and flange. The elbow is used to achieve a 90-degree turn in the direction of the pipe, and the flanges are located at both ends of the elbow, with holes above, and the two flanges can be tightly joined by bolts, and the gasket is placed between the flanges to achieve a seal.

Application: Widely used in chemical industry, construction, water supply, drainage, petroleum, light and heavy industry, refrigeration, health, water heating, fire fighting, electricity and other fields of the pipeline system, used to change the direction of the pipeline, so that the pipeline layout is more flexible to adapt to different space and process requirements.

Manufacturing process

Forging: The selection of high-quality steel billets, through heating, forging and other processes, the billets are forged into the required shape and size. The 90-degree flange elbow produced by forging process has dense internal organization, good mechanical properties, and can withstand high pressure and impact force, but the cost is relatively high.

Casting: The molten metal is poured into the pre-made mold, which is cooled and solidified to form a flange bend. The casting process can produce flange elbows with complex shapes and low cost, but there may be defects such as pores and cracks inside the casting, which require strict quality inspection.

Cutting: directly cut out the disc with the inner and outer diameter and thickness of the flange bend with the processing amount on the middle plate, and then process the bolt hole and water line. The maximum diameter of the flange elbow produced by this process is limited by the width of the middle plate, and is generally used for the manufacture of small batches and non-standard sizes.

Coil: the steel plate is rolled into a round bend shape, and then welding, pressing and leveling processes, and finally the water line and bolt holes are processed. The winding process is suitable for the manufacture of large caliber flange elbows.
